Laurie Morris is a graduate of Christ for the Nations Institute. She has an Associates of Theology degree, and is ordained with Federation of Ministers and Churches International.
Laurie has been involved with counseling for the past 20 years, primarily working with sexual abuse victims, doing marriage counseling, and working with Dissociative Identity Disorder. She has received training from Elijah House and is certified with Restoring the Foundations. She has also studied other Christian counseling models.
Laurie was married for 21 years to the late David Morris, a well known worship leader and author. As a result of childhood sexual abuse, David struggled with sexual addictions-specifically homosexuality, and he and Laurie walked to healing together while in leadership in the church. She longs to impart hope to those who are hurting from sexual brokenness.
Laurie is a prophetic musician and also teaches on worship and the arts. Her book, Shattered and Then, and her CD, Restore Me, are both written out of her personal healing journey. She loves to teach on identity and healing, using humor and life stories. She currently resides in North Carolina with her children and grandchildren.
